Rubén Reyes is a businessman in Los Angeles, California, born in the city of Tela, Atlántida, Honduras. At the age of 9, his parents moved to the Garífuna community of El Triunfo de la Cruz. Rubén later developed an interest in learning to read and write the Garífuna language.
He attended university and graduated as a Public Accountant from the Instituto Triunfo de la Cruz in Tela, Atlántida, Honduras.
